Daria Joy Cole

Daria Joy Cole affectionally known as "DeeDee" or "Worm" was born to the late Jack Cole and Jessie Nel on April 3, 1956, in Elyria, Ohio. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

Daria Cole graduated from Elyria High School in 1974. Daria was a Veteran and entered the U.S Army in 1979 and was an Administrative Specialist and was skillfully trained as a Marksman (M-16 Rifle).

Daria received her secondary education from Lorain County Community College obtaining an Associates in Applied Science graduating in 1989 and maintaining above a 3.0 grade point average.

Daria was employed with the City of Elyria as a crossing guard, later she worked for The Boys and Girls Club and General Cinema. 

Daria enjoyed reading a plethora of books, listening to music, watching crime investigation TV shows, and talking for hours on the telephone.

Daria is survived by her daughter, Andria V. Parks and her three grandchildren Amarion Oliver, Adirah Oliver and Amirah Stanley of Elyria, Ohio, brothers Joe Cole Sr. (Maelene) of Jacksonville, Florida. Willie Cole of Elyria, Ohio, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by death of her mother Jessie Nel Cole, Father Jack Cole, brothers Jackie Cole, Lemar Cole Tommie Bailey Sr, Levon Cole, sister Nancy Cole Hill, Nephews Jason L. Cole, Tommie Bailey Jr. and Sister-in-law Ella Cole, Grandparents: Joe Cole and Mary Houston and Richard and Nancy Wade.

Friends and family may call Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Carter's funeral home from 11:00am to until the time of service at 12:30 pm located at 127 West Bridge St, Elyria Oh 44035.
