Damon Perkins was born in Winchester, TN on November 23, 1954 to the late Hobert and Kathaleen Shepherd-Perkins. He departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at home in Parma, Oh with his family by his side.
Damon was employed at Elyria Foundry prior to his illness. He’s well known for his wit and humor. He loved his family and we will miss him deeply.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Carol Perkins; daughters, Shaunda Hill, Lindsey Perkins both of Cleveland, Oh. and Tamara Perkins of Parma, Oh.; brothers, Sinus Shepherd, Carl Shepherd(Bonnie), Herman Perkins, Troy Perkins all of Elyria, Oh., and William Perkins of Winchester, TN.; sisters, Audie Fenderson (Ellis), of Elyria, OH and C. Marie Perkins of Winchester, TN.; grandchildren, Aliyah Lott, Justin Rice, Shelley Gray, Jacques Gray, Alexia Perkins, Xavier Kaiser, Nevaeh Perkins, Michael Perkins, Ray Perkins, and Anna Perkins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Flowers and twin brother, Naymon Perkins.
A walk-thru viewing will be held on Monday October 19, 2020 in the Carter Funeral Home, Chapel, 127 West Bridge St., Elyria. From 10:00 a.m. till 11:00am service will be at 11:00a.m. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, you are required to wear a MASK and Social Distancing is a must.
