Dorothy Mae Jackson (September 1, 1946 - November 3, 2022)

Dorothy Mae (Marsh) Jackson, age 76, transitioned on November3, 2022 after a short illness. She was the only child, born September 1,1946 to Estelle Marsh and John Daniel Kimber in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At the age of eleven, she moved to Oberlin, Ohio to be with her father and later moved to Lorain, Ohio, going to public schools and later graduated from Admiral King High School.

In 1967 She met her husband Andrew Leroy Jackson Sr, whom she married a year later. She had four children, Gwendolen Denise (her twin), Karen Marie (her planned child) Andrew Leroy Jr. (the grandson her father asked for), and Orlanda Renee (her youngest baby).

Dorothy was a retired housekeeper from Holiday Inn. She enjoyed spoiling all her babies, including her big baby, Andrew Sr., cooking their favorite meals and desserts. She showed her love for everyone by being the out-spoken person that she was. Her biggest strength was her heart. And letting you know how she felt about you.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three surviving children, Gwendolen Denise, Andrew Jr. (Erin), and Orlanda Renee, grand-children Jailyn Danielle, Ashley Preston, Zachary Preston and a host of nieces, nephews and loving family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by both her parents, Estelle Marsh, John Daniel Kimber. Her daughter, Karen Jackson, and husband of 53 years, Andrew Sr.

Services for Dorothy Jackson will be Monday 11/14/2022 at Faith Ministries located at 1306 Euclid Ave. Lorain, Ohio 44052. Viewing will be at 10am with services following at 11am. 

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery 640 N Ridge Rd Lorain, Ohio 44053.
