Charlie Mae Dukes was born on Friday, May 12th, 1950, in Cleveland Ohio and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, in Lorain, Ohio at the New Life Hospice Center
She was raised in Cleveland and attended Glenville High until 1967 when she moved to Elyria. Not only was she an advocate for her family she was a hard worker at Westlake Village Nursing Home as A chef for 10+years and was a housekeeper at Country Inn, also a Supervisor at Middle Avenue Laundromat. She enjoyed going Shopping, playing slots, going to casinos, and spending time with her family. She also loved to cook and was known for famous Macaroni and Cheese. She also loved to be the life of the party by dancing and showing off that beautiful smile of hers
She Is survived by her children daughter Nachelle (Nickki Dukes), Marquise Dukes (Christine) both of Elyria, Anthony Dukes Sr. (Kim) of Medina, brother Howard Dukes of Elyria, sister-in-law Janie Dukes of Columbus, Ohio; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Mildred Dukes, daughter Angie Dukes, maternal grandparents John and Blanch Burton, paternal grandparents, Charlie Dukes and Cressie Dukes, brothers Charles Dukes, Clavin Dukes, grandson Stephen Antonio Dukes, sister- in-law Loretta Dukes, great grandson Damarion Dukes.
