Charles Ransom III, affectionately known as “Chuckie,” made his transition from life to eternity on Tuesday September 10th, 2024. He was born on February 11th, 1958, to Charles Ransom Jr. and Lula M. Ransom (nee Tolbert).
As a young man, Chuckie attended Bethany Baptist Church with his parents and siblings. As he grew in faith, Chuckie accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and later became a member of The Call Out Church of the Almighty God (Elyria, OH), under the leadership of Pastor Glen Cooper.
Chuckie leaves to cherish his memory; his father, Charles Ransom Jr. (Charlotte, NC); nine children: sons Neil Hamilton (NY), Brandon Pilson (Elyria, OH), Tony Ransom and Ryan Ransom (Lorain, OH); daughters Leslie Jones and Charlene (Carl) Taylor (Elyria, OH), Shawntobia Morgan (Crestview, FL), Annette Ransom (Lorain, OH), and Raquel Ransom (Brandon, FL); sisters, Denise Ransom-Morris (Raleigh, NC), and Rhonda Ransom, (Charlotte, NC); brothers Dennis Ransom, and Eddie (Lauri) Johnson (Elyria, OH); Thirty-eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chuckie was preceded in death by three children: Amanda Ransom, Qiana Newton-Hampton and Derek Ransom, mother; Lula M. Ransom, sister; Mary E. Skinner, paternal grandparents; Charles and Mary Ransom Sr., maternal grandparents; Oscar and Mattie Tolbert and several aunts and uncles.
Chuckie was a man of few words. He was known for his calm nature and loyalty to his friends. He kept to himself, but he loved being around his family. Chuckie will be greatly missed!
A viewing will be held on Saturday September 28th, 2024, at 11am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 12 noon located at Call Out Church of the Almighty God 7809 W River Rd S Elyria, OH.
