CHARLES MCLEOD
Charles McLeod entered this life May 8th,1942 to the late Nellie McLeod in Luverne, Alabama. He was welcomed into paradise on February 20th, 2023.
Charles attended Woodford High School in Luverne, Alabama. After moving from Alabama to Ohio he attended Lorain County Joint Vocational School where he received several certificates in Auto Mechanics, Machine Trades, and Auto Body I, II, & III.
He worked at Fisher Body in Elyria, Ohio. Once the plant closed, he transferred to General Motors in Parma, Ohio until he retired in 1999.
Charles enjoyed bowling, darts, hunting and fishing. He was a master mechanic and loved to work on cars. Charles loved traveling back home to Alabama to spend time with his family. He especially loved singing and playing with his grandchildren.
Charles, also known as Dark Cloud, leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Carolyn McLeod; two children, Teleasa McLeod and Terry Hill, along with two stepchildren Felicia (Mark Sr) Jones, Scott (Lynette) Holloway, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He also leaves behind his siblings, brothers: Leo, Lamar, Johnny Mac and Cecil J McLeod, sisters: Evelyn Berry, Betty Joyce Tike and Berneese Siler.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother Nellie McLeod, siblings: Jimmy McLeod, James McLeod, Tyree McLeod, Floreese Mitchell and his aunt Doris Kemp.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday February 28th, 2023, at Second Baptist Church of Elyria from 6pm-8pm.
Family and friends will also be received March 1st, 2023, at Second Baptist Church of Elyria at 10am and services following immediately at 11am.
