Carla Arnett-Nolen Obituary

Carla Arnett Nolen, age 58 passed away June 10, 2021 after a short illness. She was born In Elaine, Arkansas on September 11, 1962. After graduating from Elyria High School in 1980, she worked as a STNA/Medical Assistant for many years. She was number 5 of the 13 children. She loved and cherished her children; Lakeshia and Daryl (JOJO) and grandchildren. She confessed her faith in the Lord at an early age at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Elaine, Arkansas. Carla was loved by all.

She was a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, and a true friend to many. She was the life of the party. She loved to laughed and make jokes. She loved going to the casino, having family cookouts, traveling and decorating. But most of all she loved and cherished her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lee Vora Carlton(Nathanueal), her father, Jonas Watson and brother, George Arnett.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Anderson Nolen. Her daughter, Lakeshia Goodwin and her son Darryl Goodwin. She had 2 step sons Eddie and Edward Anderson; 1 step daughter; Alicia Kimbrough; her grandchildren; Eboni, Erik, Alivianna, Eddie, and Jamarcus; her siblings; Erma Arnett, Roy Arnett (Carol), Josephine Overall, Kathy Currie, Janice Parson (George), Toney Griffin, Charles Griffin (Lori), Erica Griffin, Valarie Carlton, Natalie Scott (Rodney) and Renee Berry (Warren). Her aunts Sandra Henry (Jerry), Viola Watson and great aunt Doctor Laverne Scott (Pete). She will forever be missed.

Family and Friends will be received on Saturday, June 19,2021, in the  Good Shephard Baptist Church 244 9th Street Elyria, OH. A walk-through will start from 10:00AM until 11:00AM and the “Celebration of Life” will start at 11:00AM.. Pastor Larry Harville will officiate. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, calls, texts and acts kindness during this difficult time.
