OBITUARY FOR CANDICE DUFFY

Sunrise: June 28, 1980, Sunset: September 7, 2024, Candice Yvette Duffy of Lorain, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday

September 7, 2024. She was born on June 28, 1980, in Lorain, Ohio. Candice attended Lorain Admiral King.

Candice enjoyed cooking and posting her meals on Facebook. Most of all Candice enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren who were the joy of her life. She enjoyed being around family and friends. She loved watching movies, and she had a love for music.

Candice is survived by her mother Rebecca Duffy and four children: Mario Ferguson, Amari Steward, Bralyn Steward and K’Mai Duffy. Candice was a grandmother to three grandchildren: Majesty Ferguson, Major Ferguson, Santana Ferguson.

She will also leave in remembrance: Qudo Grant, Andraco Grant and John Duffy Jr (Brothers), Lora Duffy Smith (Sister), Desmond Moore (Long time companion), Patricia Smith, Retina Harris (Rufus), and Yvette Harris (David), Marlene Jackson (Aunts), Juliet Lee (Grandmother), Demetrius “Choo” Lee and David Tyrone Lee (Uncles), Bobby Johnson, Jr., Patrice Smith and Chic Harris (Favorite Cousins), La Shawne Jackson and La Toyia Jackson (Nieces) and Courtney Harris and Alesha Taylor (Best Friends). She leaves behind a host of cherished nieces, nephew and friends.

Candice was preceded in death by her father John Duffy, Sr, sister Marla Duffy, brother Darrell Duffy, Grandfather David Lee and Uncles Reginald Grant and Vincent Lee.

Revelations 21:4 

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

A viewing will be held on Friday September 20th, 2024, at 11am with a Celebration of Life to begin at noon at the Lorain Carter Funeral Home 3001 Elyria Ave Lorain, OH.

A repast will be held at Carey's Gathering Place located at 2428 Elyria Ave in Lorain, OH.
