Brenda Jean Jenkins (Brent) was born October 18th, 1955, to Johnny and Jane Alston. She was called home to be with the lord July 1st, 2025.
Brenda "Aunt Brenda" Jenkins was born in Choctaw Alabama, where she lived with her parents and siblings. She attended Butler City Schools. She later moved to Ohio with her family where she attended Clearview High School. She was also a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and singing.
Aunt Brenda was a great person. She owned her own shop (Dream Catcher), and she loved talking to customers who supported her. She took great pride in everything she did. She also worked at Carter Funeral Home as a secretary for many years. Overall Aunt Brenda was kind, hardworking and she loved her family and friends very much. She will truly be missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Leesha Blair, sons: Otis Jenkins Jr. and Samuel Curry, sisters: Juanita Harris and Mattie Lee Capers, one brother Johnny Lee Alston Jr. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, she even made it to the great-great nieces and nephews. She is deeply loved by each and every one of us.
She is preceded in death by her mother Jane Ezell Alston, father Johnny Lee Alston Sr., brother Gregory Alston, sisters: Annie Murl Hubbard, Cynthia Alston, and sister-in-law Annie R. Alston.
A viewing will be held on Friday July 18th, 2025, at 10am and a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am located at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 3900 Clifton Ave Lorain, OH 44055.
