Blondean Nelson Jones 75, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 8,, 2020. She was born March 25, 1945 in Stringtown, MS., to Sarah C. Nelson and Floyd Nelson Sr. She married Supt. Edward Jones Jr. on Sept.8, 1963.
She retired from Sears Department Store after 32 years and became a certified florist for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Supt. Edward Jones Jr.; children, Helen (Doug) Wright, Carolyn Jones, and Tony Jackson; brothers, Thomas Van (Jackie) Johnson of Las, Vegas, Freddie (Doris) Nelson, of Elyria, James Nelson of Lorain; sisters, Alma Jean (Harold) Rainy of Dayton, Nancy Morgan of Elyria, Linda (Van) Lockett of Mississippi and Patricia (Nathaniel) Short; 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; godson, Desmond Nelson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Sarah Nelson; brother, Floyd Nelson Jr. and sister, Earlene Nelson (Love).
The services will be held at Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Ave, Lorain. A Walk- Thru ONLY will be on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 5:00 p.m.until 7:00 p.m.. The service will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 10:00a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, you are required to wear a MASK and Social Distancing is a must.
