Benny Adams Obituary

Benny Adams 75, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at his home on May 2, 2021 following a long illness. Benny was born on November 25, 1945 in Dublin, Georgia and coming to Lorain, Ohio in 1969.

Benny was a welder at Ford Motor Company for 31 years. He served in the Air Force for 4 years. He enjoyed football and baseball.

Benny is survived by his wife of 48 years Frances (Benjamin) Adams; daughter, Tracy Adams and son, Benny Adams III both of Lorain; granddaughter, Janna Berry of Maple Heights, Ohio; grandson, Durrell Adams (Ashley) of Elyria, Ohio; 3 great-granddaughters, Wynter Adams, Elaina Holton, and Elisha Holton and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Adams Sr. and mother, Gladys Maddox Adams; daughter, Rhonda (Benjamin) Berry, brother, Rev. Robert Adams and Sister, Vernell Adams.

Family and Friends may be received on May 5, 2021 in the Carter Funeral Home/Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave. A walk-through will begin at 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. The “Celebration of Life” will begin at 12:00Noon. Please wear a mask and social distance
