Celebration of Life

Anthony D. (Tony) Smith Jr. transitioned peacefully with his daughter Briona by his side on Thursday August 17th, 2023, at the age of 48.

Anthony was born to Anthony D. Smith Sr. and Georgette Smith on January 2nd, 1975, in Elyria, Ohio. Anthony was an avid fisherman and truly enjoyed spending time on the lake in his boat. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog, family, and friends. Anthony had a big heart and was a fierce defender of those he loved, he will be missed greatly.

Anthony is survived by his Beloved family, sons, Anthony D. Smith III, Jamar Smith, daughters Briona Smith, Thaia Smith, Jasmine Osborne and grandchildren Eta Osborne and Nori Smith. His siblings: Sister, Sunny (Dave) Gilmore, Brothers, Antonio, Chris, Devin and Maurice Smith. Nieces, London and Giuliana Gilmore and a loving group of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

He is preceded in death by his Father Anthony D. Smith Sr., Mother Georgette (Cookie) Smith, Maternal grandparents Daniel and Georgia Jones and Paternal grandfather Earl Smith Sr.

Per Anthony’s request, a funeral service will not take place however we will celebrate his life with a balloon release on Saturday August 26th.
