Angie Dukes Obituary

Angie Nachole Dukes, 51, of Elyria, Ohio, transitioned with the Lord around her loved ones January 12, 2021. Angie was born on December 24th, 1969.

Angie was a lifelong resident of Elyria Angie graduated from Elyria High School Class of 1989. She was a member on the varsity basketball team from 1986-1989 and helped lead them to four conference championships and three district titles. Angie was dedicated employee of the City of Elyria for 28+ years with the Parks and Recreation and the Street Department.

Angie was a huge Lebron James fan, she also loved spending time with her two grandchildren. She also enjoyed washing her car and spending time with her family and friends.

Angie survived by her 3 children, Darrell Dukes, Dontae Dukes, Danyell Dukes all of Elyria; her mother Charlie Mae Dukes of Elyria; grandchildren, Nova Dukes, Mason Dukes; sisters, Nachelle (Nicki) Dukes, of Elyria, Ashia Jones of Elyria, Jolyn Jones of Lorain; brothers, Anthony Dukes Sr., (Kim) of Medina, Marquise Dukes (Christine) of Elyria, Keith Jones of Columbus, J.J. Bell of Lorain; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father Jack Jones; maternal grandparents Charlie and Mildred Dukes; paternal grandparents James and Gertrude Jones; uncle Calvin Dukes; nephew Stephen Antonio Dukes.

The Wake will be held January 21, 2021 - 10AM, Service 11AM At Second Baptist Church, 427 16th Street, Elyria. Social Distancing and Mask Required.
