Andrew Jackson Sr.

Andrew Leroy Jackson Sr., born Oct. 3, 1943 in Macon, Georgia,  Transitioned on Sept. 20, 2020 after a short illness. He enjoyed spending time with his family, wife of 53 years, Dorothy and his children, as well as a host of other family members. Everyone looked forward to him visiting on Christmas Day. It has been said, it was not Christmas until he walked in the door on that morning. He enjoyed his wife's cooking as well as enjoying going to breakfast with his friends from York International, where he retired in 2002.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Dorothy, daughters, Gwendolen Denise, Elyria, Ohio, Orlanda Renee, Galloway, Ohio, and son, Andrew Jr. (Erin) Lorain, Ohio, granddaughters, Jailyn Danielle, Ashley Preston and grandson, Zachary, all of Lorain, Ohio. Sister, Onnie Mae Bailey, Plainfield, New Jersey, Brothers, Ronald (Gloria) Jackson, Rex, Georgia DeWayne () Jackson, Riverdale, Georgia and Wade (Beatrice) Jackson, Radcliff, Georgia. And a host of other family members.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Onnie and Johnnie Mae Jackson, daughter, Karen Marie Jackson, brother, Thomas Jackson, sisters, Irene Taylor, Delores Walker, and Ella Diane Manely.

The services will be held at Faith Ministries Christian Center, 1306 Euclid Ave, Lorain, on Monday, September 28, 2020. A Walk-Thru will be held from 11:00 a.m. till time of service at 12:00 Noon.   Due to COVID-19 guidelines, you are required to wear a MASK and Social Distancing is a must.
