Alfred "Al" Jackson Sr

Alfred "Al" Jackson Sr. transitioned to his heavenly home Dec. 5, 2023. He was born July 4, 1937, in Lebanon, Tennessee to Edgar and Mattie L. Jackson (nee' Crudup). He moved to Elyria, Ohio in 1955, where he met and married the love of his life Barbara Brown in 1957. He was employed and retired from US Steel. Al was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where he served on the Usher Board and in the Male Chorus. He was also a member of Laporte United Methodist Church. He enjoyed Traveling, The Kentucky Derby, and spending time with family and his great-grandchildren.

Alfred leaves to cherish his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara E. Jackson (nee' Brown), Son Alfred "Dandy" Jackson Jr., Grandchildren: Altin Jackson, Alfred Jackson III, Avery Jackson, Anthony Jackson and Brittany Jackson.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mattie Jackson, Grandson Audrey Jackson, and Siblings Charlene Jackson, James "Pete" Jackson, Elizabeth Gaines, Fletcher Jackson, and Martha Jackson.

A service will be held on Saturday December 16th, 2023, at 10am located at LaPorte United Methodist Church 2071 Grafton Rd Elyria, OH 44035.
