Albert Stevens Obituary

Albert Charles Stevens Jr., 86, of Elyria, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Towne Center Main Street Care Center, Avon Lake, after a short illness.

(Uncle) Albert was born March 12, 1935, in Elyria, Ohio.  He was the third son of Albert C. and Susie Stevens.  Amazingly, Uncle Albert was ordained to preach at nine years old.  He enjoyed reading the bible and had a grandeur style of writing.

Uncle Albert loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.  And served with distinction in the United States Air Force. Uncle Albert was employed by several employers, the USS Steel Company of Lorain, the Air Traffic Control of Oberlin, and the Amherst Sandstone Quarries of Amherst, from which he retired.

Albert leaves to cherish his loving sister, Marjorie Christmon, a special devoted niece, Nita Stevens, whom he resided with for 17 years, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert C. Stevens Sr. and Susie Stevens-Moore, brothers John H. Stevens, Earl K. Stevens, and sister-in-law Evelyn J. Stevens.

Family and friends may call Friday, May 21, 2021. A walk-thru will begin at 11a.m. with services promptly at 12p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, 127 W. Bridge Street, Elyria.  Dr. Teresa Sims (niece) of Chicago, IL., will be officiating.  Burial services with a Military Honor Tribute following at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria
