Walter Lee Lawson

Walter Lee Lawson was born February 27, 1944 in Oberlin, Ohio, to Elmer Millard Lawson and Annie Lee Yarber. He passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 in Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, Ohio, after suffering a stroke.

Walter attended Oberlin Public Schools, graduating in 1964. He spent most of his life employed at various industries, retiring from Invacare.

Walter is survived by his two daughters, Donna and Valerie; his wife, Dimple; and children, Stephanie Wilson and Henry Perkins Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Annie Lawson; brother, Richard; children, Patricia Gooden, Wytonia Moore, Henry Ethel Wilson, and Doris Taylor.

Friends may call Friday, October 4, 2019. From 12:00noon until time of service at 1:00 P.M. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St., Elyria.
