Samuel A. Wooten 57, of Elyria, passed away surrounded by family and friends on August 24, 2018 in the University Hospital (EMH) following a short illness. He was born in Winchester, TN coming to Elyria 35 (1983) years ago. Samuel was employed with the Elyria Opportunity and Vocational Center for 35 years. He attended Christ Temple Church in Oberlin. Samuel enjoyed reading, puzzles, dancing and listening to gospel music. He is survived by his sisters: Emogene (Bobby) Taylor and Deloris Kibble both of Elyria, Theresa Romelien of Winchester, TN, brothers: Lawrence Wooten and Kenneth Wooten both of Winchester, TN and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by parents Roy and Dorothy Wooten, brothers Roy Wooten, Jr., Kelvin Wooten and LaVoyd Wooten. Friends may call Friday August 30th, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon in the Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Avenue N.W., Winchester, TN, 37398.
