Obit of Rayven L. Newson

Rayven Leadreann ‘Phat Phat’ Newson 16 of Elyria, passed peacefully on April 18, 2018 in her home. Born in Elyria and was a 10th grade student at Elyria High School and a member of the Elyria High School Marching Band and enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball and a member of the Lorain County Agape Choir.

Rayven really enjoyed riding with her mother on the motorcycle and being around family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her parents: Adrian D. and Vernita L. “Shay” Newson of Elyria; sisters,: Jasmine L. Jackson of Dallas, TX, and Doanise A. Thompson of Columbus; her best friend Nicholle “Nicci-Jo” Gregory; paternal grandparents, Robert Trice and Linda Newson both of Elyria, maternal grandparents; Joe and Mary Wade of Elyria and a host of cousins and other family members and her niece, pup Lola.

Friends may call on Saturday April 28th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Greater Victory Christian Ministry, 559 Reid Ave., Lorain, OH 44052. Pastor Dempsey Noble is the Officiant. Burial to follow in Brookdale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carter Funeral Homes, Inc. 3001 Elyria Ave, Lorain
