Oneta Roberts

Oneta Roberts (84) passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at EMH University Hospital in Elyria. She was born August 5, 1935 in Lakeview, South Carolina to the late Franklin and Ora Jones.

She worked as an independent housekeeper for 30 years. She was also a former member of St. Peters C.O.G.I.C., Lorain, Ohio, church mother and the best usher.

Mrs. Roberts enjoyed cooking, singing, planting and cleaning fish.

She leaves to cherish her time on earth with daughters, Nadine Roberts, Helen Johnson, and step-daughter, Nadine Roberts; son, James Roberts all of Lorain. Seven grand-children, Jimmy Ray, Michael, Oneta, Kavis, Tomoy, Danielle, and Danita; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; Oneta Roberts, Eldest of 16 children. She has 1 sister and 4 brothers still remaining.

Proceeded her in death are her parents, Frank and Ora Jones; husband, James Roberts; 4 sisters and 4 brothers.

 Friends may call on Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 West Bridge St, Elyria.
