Marlin J. “Jerry” Lovejoy 49 of Elyria, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2017 in the University Hospital of EMH following a short illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Elyria and attended Elyria West High School. Mr. Lovejoy worked as a General Laborer and was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He will be sadly missed by daughters; Breanna N. and Deanna M. Lovejoy, son: Michael J. (Bethany) Lovejoy all of Lorain, six grandchildren, brothers; Bobby Lovejoy Sr. of Toledo, James (Valerie) Lovejoy of Columbus, Reggie Lovejoy of Elyria and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceded in death by his parents James A. and Annie R. Lovejoy.

Friends may call Friday September 1, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 West Bridge St., Elyria, Ohio 44035.  Rev. Willie Gardner, Officiant. Burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, OH 44035.
