Maggie D. Blakely, 77, of Elyria, made her transition peacefully on October 17, 2017 at Fairview Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Whitfield, Alabama coming to Elyria, Ohio 72 years ago.

Mrs. Blakely was a graduate of Elyria High School class of 1959 and received a license in practical nursing at Lorain County Community College, retiring as a LPN after 28 yrs. of services.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Elyria, Oh.  She was an avid fan who enjoyed the Cleveland Cavs, Browns, and Indians and being with family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Blakely will be sadly missed by her daughters: Carmen of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Donna (Larry) of Bedford Heights, Ohio and Terri of Englewood, Ohio. Her sons: Anthony of Dayton, Ohio, Jonathan (Tina) of Elyria, Ohio, Andre’ of Elyria, Ohio, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren,  brother Willie Ed (Vernell) Junior of Mesa, Arizona and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

 She was preceded in death by parents Daniel and Lucretia Junior and sisters: Lucy Bell and Mildred Jean Junior.

Friends may call on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Second Baptist Church, Elyria 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria, Ohio 44035. Pastor Dr. Rev. Carl P.
