Linda Reed Obituary

Linda Reed, 60 crossed into the loving arms of our Lord after a short battle with cancer on Feb. 3, 2018. She was born in Elyria, Ohio on December 23, 1957 and was a lifelong resident. She earned her diploma from Elyria West High School in 1976. After graduation she found her passion in the occupation of nurses’ aid for over 20 years. She enjoyed Tyler Perry Plays, collecting miniatures for her beautiful dollhouse, and taking care of her dog Delilah. She was a long standing member of the O.E.S. Chapter of Eastern Stars Sidonia #69. Linda was also a member of Second Baptist Church. Linda’s first love was her five grandchildren that she loved dearly.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty plus years, Bryon C. Reed. Her parents Neadom and Louise Oliver.

 

She leaves to cherish her memories her eldest son: Rashad J. (Oriesha) Reed, twins daughter Jamilah D. Reed and son Jamil R. (Andrea) Reed of Elyria; her beloved grandchildren: Ephraim Clayton Reed, Jahmil Reed, Xaviah Lovejoy, Jahlaya Reed, and Jahmir Reed. Her four loving sisters: Nina (Tony) Medina of Avon Lake, Sheena (Keith) Griffiea of Columbus, Lenora (Deacon Dwight) Williams and Rhonda (Ray) Merriweather of Elyria, her cousin Neldra K. Maben and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends may call on Monday February 12, 2018 in the Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria, OH 44035 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p entrusted to Carter Funeral Homes Inc., 127 West Bridge St. Elyria, OH 44035, and Eastern Star service at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday February 13, 2018 the Celebration of Life service will also be held at Second Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Carl P. Small, Eulogist.
