Lewis “June” Bryant 63 of Lorain, transitioned from this life on July 9, 2017 in the St. Vincent Hospital in Cleveland following a short illness. He was born in Birmingham, AL to the union of Lewis and Doris Bryant, Sr. he moved to Lorain at an early age. He attended Lorain City Schools and while in high school earned medals in track and was on the wrestling team. He also received a scholarship from West Virginia University. Lewis was employed as a line supervisor at Pierce Advanced Foods and had also worked at U.S. Steel and Ford Motor Co. He was a member of Faith Ministries Christian Center of Lorain and had served as an usher. He enjoyed walking, bowling, avid sports fan, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years Denise (nee Collins) Bryant of Lorain, his daughters: Mimi Moore of Cleveland, Andris Whitfield, La’Tresse Mincy, Demetra Bryant, DeAndra Bryant, all of Lorain, sons: Lewis Moore of Lorain, Daman Bryant of Sandusky, Andrew Whitfield and Demitryuss Bryant Sr. both of Lorain, 28 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Sisters: Sandra Hatten, Samantha Bryant, both of Lorain and Brenda (Martin) Escayg of Florida; brothers: Rev. Gregory (Marcella) Bryant, Michael Bryant, Kenneth (Cheryl) Bryant, all of Lorain and Anthony Bryant of Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Doris Bryant, Sr., infant daughter, sister, Yvonne Bryant and grandson, Steven Harrison, Jr. Friends may call on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 p.m. (noon) in the Faith Ministries Christen Center, 1306 Euclid Ave. Lorain, OH 44052. Pastor Diana Lindsey, will give Words of Comfort and Pastor Alvin Lindsey, Eulogist. Burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
