Leroy Bacon Obituary

Leroy was born on Tuesday, January 13, 1948 in Hartville, Maryland coming to Lorain, Ohio in 2009.

Leroy enjoyed fishing, playing cards and listening to music and being with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Waneka (Ellis) Matthews of Maryland, Pamela and Kiawana (Molly) Shumpert both of Lorain; son, Brian Shumpert of Lorain; brothers, Steven Bacon, Gilbert Bacon, James Bacon, Samuel Bacon, Irving Bacon; and a special Aunt Mary White, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and his companion Leanne.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Pearl Bacon (nee Shumpert); parents, Steven and Carrie Bacon (Key); brother, Ernest Brown; sister, AlFreda Bacon; and a daughter, Karen Young (Lady).

Friends may call April 12, 2018 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave, Lorain, from 10:00a.m till of service at Noon. Pastor Larry Harville, of Good Shepard Baptist Church, will give a Word of Comfort. Burial at Rittman Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
