Obit of Larrey R. Phillips, Sr. Larrey R. Phillips, Sr., of Columbus formerly of Lorain went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 8, 2018 at his home unexpectedly. He was born in Bay Village, OH in 1958 spending most of his life in Elyria and Lorain before moving to the Columbus area in 1990. Larrey graduated in 1978 from Admiral King High School class of 1978. He was a truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service in Columbus. He attended Lincoln Park Community Baptist Church in Columbus. He enjoyed car detailing, loved music, dancing, fishing, watching movies, really loved clothes shopping, barbeques, socializing with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his ex-wife Angel Carter-Phillips of Columbus, Sons: Larrey R. Phillips, Jr., of Elyria, Dii’vonta “Chucky” Phillips and Dii’jon Phillips both of Columbus, Jerome Burton of Elyria, a sister: Linda Hydrick of Columbus, brothers: Jerome Phillips of Elyria, Ricardo A. Phillips of Columbus, Lamonte A. Phillips of Elyria, Andre B. Phillips of Columbus and Ray Smith of Elyria, grandchildren: La’Reyah Faith Phillips, Kamren Burton, Jahleesa Burton, Kali Burton, Jordan Burton and a host of host of nieces nephews and others relatives. He was preceded in death by parents William H. and Anne Ruth Phillips, sister Glenda P.A. Phillips, brothers William Henry Phillips, Jr., James A. Phillips, Maurice Phillips, Calvin E. Phillips, James E. Atkinson and Carlton Phillips Friends may call on Saturday July 14, 2018 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St. Elyria, OH 44035 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Elder Ruth Pugh will speak Words of Comfort and Eulogist. Burial in Brookdale Cemetery.
