Joe Lewis Adams 82 of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2018 in the Oak Hills Nursing Center following a lengthy illness. He was born in Riverview, Alabama coming to Elyria at an early age. He was employed with the City of Elyria Sanitation Dept. retiring after 35+ years of service. Joe was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Elyria and enjoyed working on cars, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his daughter: Tammie Y. Jackson of Lorain and 4 grandchildren, sister: Emma Lois Adams of Lorain, special cousin: Doris Horton of Elyria and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Ola Mae Washington-Adams and second wife: Roxie Adams, parents Jim Baker and Carrie Adams and brother Bruce Baker. Friends may call Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 (p.m.) noon in the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 632 West River Road. N., Elyria. Rev.
