James Booker

James “Book” Booker (55) of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 suddenly in his home. He was born March 25, 1964 in Cleveland, OH to Stella Britton and James Booker Jr.

As a young man he attended John Hay High School in Cleveland, OH. James was very family oriented and loved sports, music, and dancing. He was very well known for his basketball skills and his love for music. Also, he loved to fix on cars and worked as a mechanic and a fork lift driver and worked in shipping and receiving department at Norlake in Elyria, OH. His kids was his world.

He leaves to cherish his memory is his wife, Kathy Lynn Adams of Cleveland and the love of his life and mother of his children, Tami Rogers of Lorain; siblings, Carrie Searey of New York, Phyllis Booker, Mark Booker, Edward Booker, Tony Wade, and Randall Prater of Cleveland and his brother-in-law’s, Kevin Adam and Desmond Patton of Cleveland; sister-in law’s, Rockele Rogers and Taneesha Patton of Lorain; foster mother, Bunny Wade; children, Jasmine Booker, Jaymes Booker, Markita Thomas, Jamel Booker, Tamera Booker, Ariel Booker, Janessha Booker, Darren Buchanon Jr., and Imani Buchanon.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, James Booker Jr. and Stella Britton-Booker; foster father, June Wade; sisters, Felicia Booker and Kim Wade; daughter, Tierra Booker; grandson, Eli Gaddy; nephew, Darrell Wade; mother-in law, Laureen Patton.

Friends may call Friday, October 11, 2019 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave, Lorain, OH 44055 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:30 p.m. Rev. Larry Harville, pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church, will be the Officiant.
