Geneva "GiGi" Scott Obituary

Obit for Geneva Scott Geneva Mae “GiGi” Scott 83, of Elyria went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2018 in the University Hospital of Elyria (EMH) following a sudden illness. She was born in Greenwood, SC coming to Elyria in 1956. She was graduate of Brewer H.S. in Greenwood, S.C., employed with Walmart in Elyria, for the past 10 years and with E.M.H. Dietary Dept. retiring after 40 years of service. Geneva was member of Second Baptist Church, Elyria where she served as a church usher and member (former) of  Order of Eastern Star, Martha Chapter #35 of Oberlin. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, loved wearing hats, spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by daughters: Cynthia Scott of Dallas, TX and Jennifer Scott of Elyria, sons: Larry Scott of Cleveland and Michael (Diana) Scott of Elyria, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, sisters: Dessie Sherrod of Elyria, Elise Stephens of North Carolina and Violet Hodge of Lorain, god-daughter: Arneatha Young-Shannon, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents General Sherman Sr. and Magnolia Williams, son Ronny Scott, sister Carrie Mae Williams and brothers General Sherman Williams Jr. and Theodore Williams Sr. Friends may call Thursday March 15, 2018 in the Second Baptist Church, Elyria, OH, 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria, OH 44035 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. Carl P. Small, Eulogist. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carter Funeral Homes, Inc., 127 West Bridge Street, Elyria, OH 44035. Burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
