Gary W “Maintenance Man” Arnold Sr. (64) of Elyria went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2019, following a short illness.

Mr. Arnold was a maintenance man by trade, and a former employee for Ford Motor Co, of Lorain. He attended Park St. Seventh-day Adventist Church of Oberlin, Ohio.

He was a sports fan and enjoyed playing the piano for local bands, singing, and being around family and friends.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Eric Quinn, Michael Quinn, and Early Quinn; sisters: Carolyn Arnold of Elyria, Sandra Kimbro of Elyria , Brenda Conley of Bronx, New York, Veronica (Ernest) Cofield of Elyria, Constance Thomas of Elyria; brothers: Herbert C. Arnold Jr. of Elyria, Michael Arnold of Elyria, Joseph Gene Harvey of Elyria; grandchildren, Kayzah, Araelal, and Xavier; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Quinn; parents, Herbert Arnold Sr. and Genella Arnold; sister, Toni Gilmore.

Friends call Monday, January 28, 2019, in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 West Bridge Street, Elyria, from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Rev. Dixie Smith will officiate. Burial in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
