Ella Mae Smith

Mae Ella Smith nee (Frost) of Lorain peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, May 3, 2019 surrounded by her family.

She was born September 27, 1952 in Joliet, Illinois to Ira and Mazel Frost. She was a member of Faith Ministries Christian Center in Lorain, for many years. She enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible and spending time with her family.

Mae will be sadly missed by her children; Christopher Frost Sr. of Lorain, Warren Cummings of Atlanta Georgia and Aretha Cummings of Lorain.

She was the eldest of five siblings; Howard (Patty) Frost, David Frost, Calvin Frost all of Lorain, Ira Jean Boggs and Eugene Frost of Columbus, Ohio.

Mae was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren; Christopher Jr, Nicole Frost, Isiah Butler and Aneesa Cummings of Atlanta, Georgia. She also has four great-grandchildren that she adored, Arainna, Zaria, Jaecion, and Leilanni and of Lorain; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George L Smith; parents, Ira and Mazel Frost; and infant grandson, Gerald Allen.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel 3001 Elyria Ave, Lorain, OH.
