Earlene Tillmon

Earlene Tillmon (nee Nelson), 63, transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Wesleyan Village following a long illness.

She was born to Elwood and Mildred Nelson (nee Glass) on August 21, 1955 in Elyria, Ohio.

Mrs. Tillmon attended Midview Schools where she met and married Robert L. Tillmon. She was a faithful member of True Worship Fellowship.

She was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert Tillmon; daughters, Tanika Nelson, Shanta (Darnell) Nelson, Oliver and Renata Nelson; son, Robert(Raven) Nelson all of Elyria; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marva Johnson, Glenda (Donn) Nelson-Kazmierczak, Denise Nelson, Audrey Nelson, Pamela Johnson and Patricia(Kevin) Jackson; brothers, Elwood( Natalie) Nelson Jr., Clayton Nelson, and Edward F. Nelson Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Tillmon Jr.; grandson, Zi’aire Nelson; parents, Elwood Sr. and Mildred Nelson (nee Glass); sister, Joanne McIntosh (nee Nelson); brothers, Larry Nelson and Dwayne Nelson.

Friends will be received on Friday May 31st, 2019 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 127 W. Bridge St., Elyria, OH 44035, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m..
