Dora Anderson 80, of Lorain, was called home to eternal rest after a long exhausting fight. God embraced her in his arms and took her in. Dora took her last breath on October 28, 2018. She was born in Luverne, Alabama to Mae L. (Madison) and Fulton Phillips. Mrs. Anderson moved her family from Illinois to Ohio where she eventually became a member of Greater Christ Temple for over 25 yrs. She enjoyed gardening, sewing of which she always tried to teach sewing classes to those willing to learn. Cooking and feeding her family along with other families. She always believed that children should eat before adults, regardless of the event. She leaves to mourn her legacy a sister: Rose Pope, daughters: Dorita (aka BooBoo) of Dayton, Mavis of S. Carolina, Sonia and Rita of Elyria, sons: Tommy Jr., Clyde, Duriel, of Lorain, Eric of Kansas and Dale (Tamantha) of Elyria: grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Fulton & Mae L. (Madison) Phillips, husband: Tommy Anderson Sr., Special friend: Eddie Goodwin; brother: Mc Kindley Phillips; Sisters, Florilla Davis, Lucille Moore, Bennie M. Daniels; daughter, Gearlde Anderson; great-grandson: Robert Lee Anderson. Friends may call Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. in the Greater Christ Temple Apostolic Church, 123 Oberlin Rd., (Middle Ave) Elyria, OH 44035, where services will be on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Elder Darrell Shumpert to Officiate. Burial to follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, OH 44035
