Brenda Marie “Taydah” Fields 59, of Cleveland went home to be with the Lord October 29, 2017 in Metro Health Center following a long illness. She was born in Oberlin moving to Cleveland 20+ years ago coming from Lorain. Taydah graduated from Oberlin High School, class of 1976 and was a percussionist (drums) in the high school Drum Band. She was employed by Custom Paper Tubes of Cleveland, retiring after 18 of service. Brenda enjoyed watching T.V. and especially loved spending time with her granddaughter as well as family. She will be sadly missed by her sons: Andre (Jherica) Fields of Warrensville Hts., and DeMarcus (Treasure) Fields of Cleveland and a granddaughter, sisters: Annie C. (William) Congress of Cleveland, Cynthia L. (Leland) Trice of Elyria, brothers: Billy Wayne (Margaret) Smith of Mississippi, Eugene (Marsha) Shumate of Elyria, Carlton (Gigi) Shumate of Miami, FL and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by parents Edward R. and Annie Fields, sisters Mary Anderson, Katy Stevenson, Linda Fields and a brother Gary Fields. Friends may call on Tuesday November 7, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Bishop Morris Terry, Officiant. Burial in Cleveland Memorial Gardens, Cleveland, OH.
