Alma I (Holiday) Greenhill

Alma I. Jean (nee Holiday) Greenhill 89, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.

She was born on April 29th, 1930 to the union of George and Oralee Holiday in Cherokee, AL. She was married to Gus Greenhill coming to Ohio in 1954.

Alma was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Board and sang in the choir. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughters: Valerie Brooks, Renee Fenderson and Vickie Greenhill all of Lorain, sons: Willie Payne, Clifford (Emma Jean) Greenhill and Gary Greenhill all of Lorain and a host of grandchildren and great-children, sisters: Gladys (Robert) Woodley and Roslyn Goodlow.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Oralee Holiday, sons: Sherman and Fredrick Greenhill, daughter: Sandra Bell, grandson Richard Edwards, Brothers: Warnell, Conary, Harold, George Holiday, sisters: Betty Holiday, Olivia Greenhill and Ernestine Holiday.

Friends may call on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave., Lorain, OH 44055. Rev.
