Alfred (Tiger) Kennard Jr.

December 12, 1959 – January 9, 2018

Alfred (Tiger) Kennard Jr. went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2018 at the age of 58.  He is a United States Veteran who served in the Armed Forces.  He was a life-long truck driver and an auto mechanic who loved people and lived life to the fullest.

A member of Second Baptist Church, Alfred is survived by his wife Terri Kennard, his son Alex Jarel Kennard of Alexander, Virginia and his grandson, Alijah Jarel Kennard.  He leaves behind his father, Alfred Kennard Sr. (Jackie), his siblings, Winifred Kennard, Veronica Kennard-Gilbert (James), Garnettia Kennard, Albert James Kennard, Betty Hervey, all of Elyria Ohio and Debbie Hancock (Zachary) of Canton Ohio.  He also leaves behind his companion, Tina Brown, a host of dear aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and close relatives and friends that he loved dearly.  

Alfred is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Betty Kennard and his paternal and fraternal grandparents.

The viewing will be held Friday, January 19, 2018, from 7:00pm-9:00 pm, at Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria, Ohio 44035 and the Celebration of Life will be Saturday January 20, 2018 at 11:00, also at Second Baptist.

He will be laid to rest in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria Ohio. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Carter Funeral Home.
