Terrie Lee Nash Peacefully transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, February 8, 2024. Terrie was born January 5, 1953 to the late Hardy and Bessie Whitfield.
Terrie was educated in the Elyria Public System, and worked at her parent’s grocery store, Middle Avenue Food Market. She later had various work experiences until she became disabled.
Terrie was the mother of three beloved children Sherese, Terry and Travis whom she adored and talked about all the time. Terrie’s early Christian walk began at
Antioch Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was part of the youth group. She later attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Elyria.
Terrie was free spirited, she loved to talk, laugh and have fun. She loved her daily walks at Elyria Square and sitting and talking with friends. She had a passion for
dancing. She was sensitive, caring and strong willed as well as outspoken. Her personality touched all that knew her. She loved watching classic movies. She enjoyed having
fun with her family and spending time with her friends.
Terrie will be missed and our lives will be forever changed. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Terry Nash(Isiah), Travis Bowens. Three sisters; Emma Slay(William)
Velma Williams, Victoria Payten(Andre), Five Brothers; Hardy Whitfield(Tanora), Oliver Whitfield(Brenda), James Whitfield, Leonard Whitfield, Ronnie Whitfield.
Preceding her in death is her daughter, Sherese Nash. Her parents, Hardy and Bessie Whitfield. Her brother, David Whitfield, Her sister Connie Whitfield. She will
be missed and fondly remembered by many.
There will be a memorial service Friday February 23rd, 2024 at 12pm at Carter Funeral Home 127 W Bridge St Elyria, Ohio.
