Walter R. “Moe” Hicks Jr., 76 of Elyria passed away peacefully on February 17, 2016 in the New Life Hospice of Lorain following a short illness.
He was born in Cleveland coming to Elyria 36 years ago. He was employed at LTV Steel Corp of Cleveland retiring in 1997. Mr. Hicks enjoyed gardening, fishing and was a handy man and an avid sports fan.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Kay F. Hicks, daughter, Kaika J. Hicks of Elyria, 3 grandchildren, and sister, Marion Miliner of Dayton, OH and a niece.
He was preceded in death by parents Walter R. Sr. and Isabel Hicks, and brother Mac R. Hicks.
Friends may call Friday, February 26, 2016 in the Church of Christ, 1101 Lake Avenue, Elyria from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Minister Jerome Garrison will officiate.
