Obit of Tom Robert Ward Tom Robert Ward, 61 departed this life on August 9th, 2016 peacefully at home to a better life. Tommy as he was known was born January 20, 1955 in Whitfield, AL. He was one of kind. He loved taking care of the elderly, kids and anyone who needed him. That was ‘Uncle Tommy’ the all-around man. He loved working on cars, being the practical joker, telling stories and playing cards. Tommy was loved for his great sense of humor. He loved being around all of his family and friends. Tommy was blessed with 4 children: Latoshia Jackson Austin of Orlando, FL, Thomas ‘ManMan’ Ward and Courtney Gardner both of Lorain, Brandon Waller Ward of Ohio, God-children Kanaisha and Zaccheaus Stone. Tommy is survived by his wife Sharon K. (nee: Jackson) Ward, brothers: Connie Ward of Lorain, Sylvester ‘Pops’ Spencer of Louisville, KY, Anthony B. Ward of Akron, Nathaniel Ward, Pascal James, Jimmy James all of Lorain, brother-in-law William ‘Bill’ Fiske of Lorain, sisters: Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Ward of Louisville, KY, Rosie Noble of Indianapolis, IN, Antonette Simmons of Lorain and Rita James of Akron. He will be sadly missed by a host of close -knit loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, along with many special friends. He was preceded in death by stepfather and mother Herbert and Mary Ward James, father Sylvester Spencer, Sr., sister Patricia Fiske, brothers Jerome Ward and Ronald ‘Fro’ James and niece Nicole Fiske. Friends will be received on Saturday August 20, 2016 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3900 Clifton Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44055 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Rev. Otis Jenkins will officiate and Bishop Peter Tower, co-officiating. Burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carter Funeral Homes INC, Lorain, OH 44055.
