Obit of Shelanzo ‘Quita’ Washington Shelanzo ‘Quita’ Miles Washington 38 of Elyria made her transition to Heaven on April 6, 2017. She was born in Chicago, IL coming to Elyria 30 years ago. She attended Elyria West High School. She was a Home Health Care Aide with Comfort Keepers, worked for The Chronicle Telegram and was employed at Oberlin College as a cafeteria worker. Quita was a caring people person and loved all. She enjoyed shopping for shoes, doing hair and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by daughter Jasmine J. Washington of Elyria, 2 sons: Jai’ Quan L. Turner and Qwanda A. Woodson, Jr. both of Elyria, a granddaughter A’nari Z.L. Taylor of Elyria, mother Sherry Milton of Chicago, Il, 3 brothers: Timothy Clemons, Tyrone Fizer and Jermaine Fizer all of Chicago, IL, maternal grandmother Ola B. Washington of Elyria, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father Alfonzo Miles, maternal grandfather James Washington, aunt Metra A. Melton and uncle Willie Ray Melton. Friends may call on Thursday April 13, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service 12 noon in the Gods Kingdom Church, 1671 North Ridge Road, Lorain, OH 44055.
