Obituary of Sandra L. Brent 66, of Oberlin, was born in Mt. Sterling, KY on October 8, 1950 to Fred Thomas and the late Odessa Banks Thomas. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren at home, when she was called to be with the Lord on September 21, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Sandra was united in marriage to Booker T. Brent in July of 1967 where they resided in Pinola, MS. They were blessed with 4 children: Edward, Dwight, Tina and Anetra. She later returned to Oberlin, finding a special relationship with Caesar Bates Sr. and was blessed with 2 more sons: Terrill and Caesar Bates Jr. and a special daughter Diane Scott. Sandra was a faithful employee of PFI in Wellington for 32 years and retired in May of 2016. She confessed Christ as her personal savior and was baptized as a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church of Oberlin in April of 1999. While a member of the church she joined the Senior Choir and became an Usher. Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family, playing horse shoes, surfing the internet, latch hooking and traveling when she could. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory husband: Booker T. Brent of Pinola, MS, father: Fred Thomas of Oberlin, sons: Edward Brent of Pinola, MS, Dwight Brent of Elyria, daughters: Tina Brent of Reynoldsburg, Anetra Brent of Elyria, sons: Terrill Bates of Boston, MA and Caesar Bates Jr. of Oberlin, brother: Jeffrey Thomas, sisters: Tamara Brown and Shelly Thomas all of Oberlin, 29 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and special friend Walter Robinson. She was preceded in death by her mother Odessa Thomas, brother David Cunningham, sister Frances Allen, grandmothers Anna Thomas, Rosa Banks and grandfather George Thomas. Friends may call on Friday, September 29th, 2017 in the Christ Temple Apostolic Church of Oberlin, 370 Lincoln St., Oberlin, OH 44074 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Elder Laurence E.
