Obit of Ronnie Board Ronnie Andrew Board 54 of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2017 in the University Specialty Hospital of Lorain in Amherst following a lengthy illness. A lifelong resident of Lorain, Ronnie was a graduate of Elyria West High School class of 1981 and active in basketball. He was an Army Veteran stationed in Germany and also the Army Reserves in Brookpark, OH. He was employed as a Corrections Officer with Lorain Correctional Institute (LCI) for 14 years. He enjoyed fishing, avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 26 years Cindy L. Board of Lorain, 2 daughters: Savannah Smith of Lorain, Marcia Board of Columbia, SC, 2 sons: Ryan (Brooke) Board of Maumee, Luis Board of Lorain, 6 grandchildren, 6 sisters: Brenda Board of Elyria, Sherill (Willie) Parish of Seattle, WA, Tanya (Roger) Smith, Kellie (Kelvin) Roberts, Lisa (Pop) Mahone all of Elyria, Shawn (Clarence) Rivers of Amherst, 4 brothers: Myron (Diane) Board of FL, Lamar (Dawn) Board of Canton, Darnell (Mary) Board of Elyria and John Board of Lorain, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Allen and Esther Board, son Ryan Smith and sister Linda Williams.
