Ora Lee Norman, 73 of Elyria, made her transition to Heaven on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Life Care Center of Elyria, following a brief illness.

 Mrs. Norman was born on Monday, December 27, 1943 in Metcalfe, MS coming to Elyria, Ohio in 1969.  She worked for several years for the Lorain County Head Start before retiring from St. John Westshore Hospital.

 She was a born again Christian accepting Christ by baptism at the age of 16 and her priority was raising her children in the Christian faith.  She served on several ministries at the Mt. Nebo P.B. Church since her membership beginning in 1969, such as the Usher Board, the Senior and Mass Choirs, the Scholarship Committee, and later being inducted as a church Mother.  Her leisurely hobbies also included gardening, cooking and sewing.

 She will be greatly missed by her four daughters and two sons: Shirley (Jason) Nicholson and Marilyn (Ronnie) Milner both of Elyria, OH, Barbara (Anthony) Anderson of Columbus, OH, Linda (Donald) Graham of Ypsilanti, MI, Curtis (Cynthia) Helm of Knoxville, TN and Frederick Helm of Elyria, OH, brother Elder Edward (Blondine) Jones and godson Anthony Frazier.

 Ora was preceded in death by her husband James Norman, son Clyde Helm, parents Mable L. Jackson and Edwards Jones Sr., brothers, Elton Jerry Jones and Sylvester Jones and a  sister Patricia Jones.

Friends may call on Thursday November 9, 2017, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00, in the Second Baptist Church 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria, 44035. Dr. Carl P. Small, pastor.
