Melvin H.  ‘Stoney G’ Parker 66, of Elyria passed away peacefully on the Wesleyan Village of Elyria following a long illness.

He was born in Lauderdale, TN coming to Elyria 56 years ago.

Mr. Parker was employed in the Laundry Department of the Hilton Hotel in Cleveland for 6 years. He also worked at Vocational Guidance R.S. Center of Cleveland for 20 years. He was a member of Shaker Park Kingdom Hall congregation of Shaker Hts, OH.

He enjoyed music, singing church hymns and talking on the phone to family and friends.

He will be sadly missed by his companion Elisha Johnson of Cleveland, 2 daughters: Arianne Johnson and Danielle Johnson both of Cleveland, sisters: Frances (Craig) West of Elyria, Joyce (Kevin) Mason of Huntsville, AL, brothers: James T. Green of Elyria, Keenan Green of Cleveland and a host of loved ones.

He was preceded in death by parents James and Frances Green, sister; Marilyn Green, brother; Bennie Green and a nephew; Kevin Green.

Friends may call on Saturday December 16, 2017 in the House of Healing Church, 1417 West Ave., Elyria, OH 44035 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Rev. Branch, pastor will officiate.
