Maggie Brown Obituary

Maggie Y. Brown; age 70 passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in LaVergne, TN.  She was born August 24, 1947 in London, Kentucky to the late Roy and Nellie Elliott.   She was a graduate of London High School. She worked for Oberlin College for several years.  She was a faithful member of Christ Temple Church where she was in the choir, usher, nurse and President of the Hospitality Committee.  She enjoyed fishing, bowling, listening to music, baking pound cakes and crocheting,

She leaves to cherish her daughters Davida Franklin of Detroit, MI, Sarah Curry LaVergne,TN,  Michelle Baker, Panama City, FL. Sons William Brown and John Curry, Smyrna, Tn., Sister Doris  Pennington, Columbus, Oh. God Children Shikara K, Malcolm C. Blue, David Ford and Maurice Johnson.

Grandchildren; Kelvin Clark, John Curry II, Alindzia Fraizer (Justin), Malik Curry, Kavion Curry, Benito Jackson, Jmarrion Curry, Javonte Curry, Karie Brown, Devan Chasteen (Kyle) Dominique MC Cary, Nija Franklin, Perris Brown, William T. Brown Jr. (D.J.) and Christen Jones.  Many great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Maggie is proceeded in death by her loving Husband of 30 years Russell A. Brown, her parents, brothers; Cleon, Gilbert, and Roy Elliott. Sisters; Daisy Gilchrist, May Dora Blue, and Minnie Collier.

Friends may call on Friday, April 6, 2018 in the Shiloh Baptist Church 3600 Clifton Ave, Lorain, OH 44055 from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Elder Laurence E. Nevels, of Christ Temple Apostolic Church, Oberlin will Eulogist.
