Lila M. Flowers 82 of Elyria, made her transition to heaven on October 21, 2017 following a long illness. She was born in Hissop, Alabama coming to Elyria in 1973 from Cleveland, Ohio.

A graduated of Cottage Grove High School in Hissop, Alabama. A member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Elyria and a  member of the Eastern Stars of Cleveland, Ohio.

She was employed as a nursing assistance for the Golden Acres Nursing Home in Amherst, Ohio. Retiring after 8 years of services, and a house keeper for many local doctors.

Mrs. Flowers enjoyed, fishing, canning, gardening, cooking, cleaning, and being with her family and friends.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Tonia Y. (Reginald) Hollis, of Elyria, Ohio. Her sons; Oscar Madison Jr. of New York, Dennis Madison and Anthony Flowers both of Texas, Willie Flowers of Elyria, Ohio., 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Sister; Addie Dyson of Michigan, and a brother; Ezra Leonard of Alabama. Host of Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Willie B. Flowers, parents; Major and Arvie Leonard, brothers; Edgar Leonard and Everage Leonard.

  Friends may call on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon. In the Mt. Zion Baptist Church 632 West River N., Elyria, Ohio 44035. Rev. Michael Eric Dyson, Officiating. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, Avon.
