Obituary of Jessie L. Porter Jessie Lee Porter (nee: Hare) passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Jessie Lee was born November 27, 1930 in McKenzie, AL to Jessie and Ollie Hare. She was the oldest of 13 children. She attended Original Glorious Apostolic Church in Elyria. She enjoyed volunteering at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Her interests include watching game shows, soap operas, arts and crafts, adult coloring books and fashion. Jessie is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years William E. Porter, her children: William Porter, Jr., Ollie (David) Whitfield, Charles (Tracy) Porter, Dianne (Milton) Allgood, Janice (Samuel) Hitchens, Terry (Fred) Trimble, and Vickie (David) Albright, 25 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, 11 siblings: Eura (Woodrow) Middleton, Gladys (Arthur) Shoto, Jonnie Moore, Annie (Julius) Franklin, James E. (Romi) Hare, Ellis (Sherrie) Hare, Joseph Hare, Willie Jean Hare, Freddie Hare and Henry Hare and a host of other loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Ollie Hare, son Michael Porter, sisters Lilly Schultz and Lorene Dunklin. Friends may call on Monday November 21, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Original Glorious Apostolic Church, 995 Foster Ave., Elyria, OH 44035.
