Obit of Irene M. Jones Irene M. Jones 76, of Lorain passed away peacefully on March 19, 2017 following a sudden illness. She was born in Sandersville, GA coming to Lorain over 60 years ago. She was employed as a phone operator for St. Joseph’s Hospital and Community Health Partners of Lorain and retired after serving for 22 years. She also worked for E.H. Roberts Answering Service for 10 years. Irene enjoyed going to bingo, watching game shows and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed and her memories cherished by her daughter Jennifer Jones and a son John Jones of Lorain, 2 grandchildren: Jenna Johnson and Timothy Lovett both of Lorain, 4 sisters: Katie Campbell and Mary Wilson both of Lorain, Annie (Don) Thompson of Spring Valley, NY and Katie Williams of Lorain and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son James Kevin Randall, Stepfather and mother Willie and Jessie Mae Davis and sister Lurlene Linder. A memorial service will be Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 3001 Elyria Ave., Lorain, OH 44055. Pastor Larry Harville of Good Shepherd Baptist Church of Elyria will give Words of Comfort and Inspiration.
