Dorothy B. Watts, 90 of Lorain passed away peaceful at her home. She was born in Rochester, NY, January 4, 1928 coming to Lorain in 2009 from New Mexico.
Mrs. Watts was a supervisor for a bank in Syracuse NY., and had worked for the DMV in Rio Rancho, New Mexico and worked for the public library in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
She was member of Good Shepard Baptist Church, Elyria, were she served on the Sunshine Committee and Treasure of the Women auxiliary of the church.
She enjoyed reading, computer, sewing, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Honesty of Alexandria Va. and Peggy Ham of Lorain, Oh; sons, Curtis (Barbara) Watts of Rochester, NY and Kenneth Watts of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren, 3great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur G. Byrd and Mary R. Byrd-Holoman; brothers, James and Richard Byrd; sisters, Marie Davis, Rose Miller, and Barbara Brooks.
Friends may call Friday, April 13, 2018 in the Good Shepard Baptist Church, 244 9th Street, Elyria, from 11:00a.m until service at 12:00noon. Pastor Larry Harville will officiate. Burial will be Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Avon, Oh. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carter Funeral Home, 127 West Bridge St., Elyria, OH 44035.
