Delores ‘Laresy’ ‘Mrs. Jones’ Jones 59, of Lorain went home to be with the Lord on Friday July 15, 2016 in Cleveland Clinic following a short illness. She was born in Sheffield Township on January 12, 1957. Delores was a graduate of AKHS class of 1975 and was employed by as a STNA for Amherst Manor and a lifelong caregiver. Mrs. Jones was a faithful donator to St. Judes’ Hospital and Salvation Army of Lorain. She enjoyed cooking, playing card games, crossword puzzles and enjoyed being with family and friends. Most of all she loved living life to the fullest. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 30 years Alan Jones, 2 daughters: Tannika Morris of Lorain, Tykeshia Morris of Valdosta, GA, a son: Joseph Morris of Lorain, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters: Gloria Morris, Peggy Worthy, Debra Williams, Linda (Edward) Turner and Denise Worthy all of Lorain, brothers: James Morris of Lorain, McAuthur Worthy of Cleveland, Robert (Kimberly) Worthy of Sandusky and Anthony Worthy of Lorain and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She preceded in death by parents James Worthy and Selina Morris, Step-father: Alonzo Johnson, brother: Speaul Morris and sister: Diane Worthy and grandmother: Hattie Campbell. Friends may call Thursday July 21, 2016 in the Shiloh Baptist Church 3880 Clifton Avenue Lorain from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tyrone Holley and Rev. Dr. Peter Tower will officiate. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carter Funeral Home, Inc., Lorain, Ohio.
